August 20th, 2004: albert einstein, cream shag rug, goodbye blanket Sitting next to me right now is my newly purchased Albert Einstein doll (you can buy the most peculiar things at Urban Outfitters). He's here to help me rekindle my brain, to turn off my summer lethargy and return to an intelligable mode of thinking, processing, absorbing and analyzing. Hasn't worked yet. Maybe he can help me pack instead, cuz I have mile high piles of useless crap that i must somehow fit into a few mere suitcases to lug across town and stuff into my new "home" at college. COLLEGE. C. O. L. L. E. G. E. blegh, is that weird? Oy gavalt. ~ I've spoken to my roommate quite a few times now. I'm confidant that she's got a good head on her shoulders and that we will make a dandy room duo. However, she has recently informed me that she purchased a cream colored shag area rug for our allegedly large double room. cool? i guess, i dunno. i hope no random drunken college lads vomit on it. Come to think of it, i don't think i really want any random drunken college lads throwing up anywhere in my room. Blegh blegh blegh. ~~ my mom's knitting me an entire blanket as a farewell gift and self-destresser. "Self" as in, herself. She's been toiling over it endlessly for the past few weeks and now it's getting intense but it's keeping her busy and distracted from the daunting reality of my departure. But she almost done, which means things are about to get hectic. ~~ The "goners": - Hayley - Erin - Marcus - Patrick Current Mood: August 13th, 2004: found my heart in San Fran... if i could live anywhere, it might just be right here because if it werent for mad wind and killer hills, San Francisco could easily be the coolest city du monde! beauteous i tell ya! im writing from the lobby of my hotel - The Adagio - in downtown San Fran, just having finished a looong jean-run at the Levi superstore. We did the SF Museum of Modern Art before which was just wicked and splendid. Then relaxed in a funky park where i took a million pictures of all the interesting and spectacular peeps around us. (fyi: parks kick ass!) Tonight we're gonna see a Tenessee Williams play called "Orpheus Descending" which excites me greatly cuz theatre just gives me the (happy) shivers. Yowser (!) i cant wait! Anyhow im gonna hit the sack for an hour or so, but just wanted to update and send my love back to all the little people. MUAH. *moll* or *mol*...which one's better? hmm...... August 8th, 2004: "mac"kin it up! guess where i am? uh huh, you guessed right! On my brand spankin new apple laptop...how delicious is that! ooooh, im having sooo much fun! i feel like such a spoiled brat though...i guess i should just accept that and move on with life, hey? August 6th, 2004: KINKY IS SO INSANELY RAD! omigoodness gracious! all of you that turned down jessie's offer for a night of fun with Kinky (which is all of you who are reading this cuz it was only Allison, Jes, and I) you have no idea what you chose to miss! For shizzle, Kinky and Ozomotly provided the most fun, most awesome, most absolutely fabulous evening of dancin, dancin, and DANCIN! This little mini-man is the lead singer and he's just the funkiest lil' Mexican dude ever ever ever and he kept looking right at us (gulp, teenage girl phrase!). We did meet an Ogre who kept clapping my hair and blowing nasty dirty breath onto our backs (BLEGH) but it was only a slight issue cuz the music was as awesome as awesome gets. IM SO BUYING THE ALBUM! And Allison got picked up by some random guy in the parking lot named Geo who lives in Santa Ana and claims he's 19 though i'm sure he's really just 13 but very funny anyhoogles. Moral of the story: more fun is had when Kinky is around! (And A & J!) ~ I got an email from one of my dorm "sponsors" today; his name is Miguel Rodriguez and he's a rising sophomore at Pomona this year. He's from Chicago and is an openly bi-sexual double major in Ethnic and Chicano Sociology, and Dance. He seems like a very nice dude! Even better, he loves POMONA! YOAW! ~~ i still have on my house of blues wrist band because i'm that cool. Current Mood: Current Music: Toby Lightman - The River August 4th, 2004:
i saw 13 going on 30 last night...very cute, though a blattant rip-off of "BIG" but Jennifer Garner does an impressive job of following Tom Hanks' lead. ~ I'm going to paint my toenails right now, cuz they have no color and life without color is just so sad. ~~ Take the quiz: "Which famous actress are you?" ![]() Angelina Jolie Pucker up- I'm Angelina Jolie! August 2nd, 2004: fack i'm a fucking idiot. idiot. fucking idiot. fucking fucking idiot. fuck...fuck. there, i feel better. Current Mood: August 1st, 2004: double (up)date Last night was kick butt'em. Allison, Geo, Haybop and yours truly went to a Kringen Family Bonfire out at Long Beach in the area of "Bag Girl" (???). We sat around the fiiiire singing classic rock hits played lovelyly by Allison's Dad's bandy thing. Very fun! Yay for squishy brownies and losing the song sheet...good clean fun :) Also, props to Allison for an awesome parking job in front of Nick's house! I learned how to play the guitar...i'm a rock star! (Geo, are u jealous?) Nice times:) ~ So i finally found out about my roommate and housing info for school. I was suprisingly disapointed about being assigned a roomate because, for whatever reason, I had some hopes of getting a single room...because I'm an antisocial hermit? Because its easier to be by yourself than have to deal with someone else? Because i like MY own space? Eh, whatever! So her name is Melissa Berg (much easier to say than Hayley's!) and she is from Bethesda, Maryland. Our room is in Wig Hall which is right next to this beachy place with volleyball courts and a nice big courtyard...no air conditioning! Such is life...whoa is me:) ~~ I need to get in shape...but that hurts:( *m* Current Mood: Current Music: Dispatch July 29th, 2004: lobster woman returns Whfeeeew..i am totally and utterly ZONKED. And who wouldn't be after two days of mad fun and memorie with some damn good pals!? The weekend trip to San Onofre (i give up trying to spell it correctly) was a true success complete with many many awesome moments...that you now get to hear about!! ~ So Driver Jessie kindly escorted Allison and i up in the beloved "Troop" while Geo, Isaac, Steph, Meghan, Brian and Robert piled into the Millea soccer mom van. The "troop" trooped along like a good little vehicle but met some distressing complications upon trudging up hill: the poor car couldn't go any faster than 40 mph on the freeway. Goodness it was so funny to sit there in this slow hunk of a car while everyone zoooooooooomed past. We finally made it with the help of Amelie and David Bowie:) ~~ Twas a mucho mucho nice camping spot despite the odd RV families that surrounded us and the devastatingly uncomfortable rocky beach. Getting into the water was unpleasant only because the ocean was so dayum cold but getting out was a hundred times worse! In a rushed effort to escape the undertoe Georgia and I got flipped over by the rough mini-waves, were pelted to smitherines by itty-bitty rocks and ended up toppling over on another three times again. It was ridiculously painful but a rather memorable experience, I must say! ~~~ Dinner was great, mostly because of the company. Isaac wanted to hear the entire story of my life and everywhere I had lived. For every place i mentioned he had a most unusual yet hilarious story related to that given location...quite a hoot! Smores prepared on bent coat hangers were dilish and a most filling end to a day fulllll of food. Brownies, cookies, candy, more cookies, pasta salad, sandwiches, spaghetti, baguette, watermelon, uhhhhh...my stomache hurts just to think of it all! But, mmm, was it good! ~~~~ I won't go into the details of our activities that followed suit because I don't want to be liable for immense embarrasment on the part of others(hilarious as it may be)...instead i'll make a Hayley-style list of quotable moments, many and most of which came from a very "influenced" Allison (i love that girl!): ~ "This is just the perfect Italian meal" - Meghan in reference to the packaged pasta, Prego sauce and stale baguettes ~ "Jessie, will you go to Ireland with me?" - Allison in reference to nothing remotely related to Ireland ~ "Hey, Jessie, you know the two of us...well we could be models!" - Allison responding to Brian poetic description of Jessie and Allison's good looks ~ "Hey, hi, i have an announcement: I am extremely honored to be sharing this tent with you four lovely ladies!" - Brian ~ "Ow, ow, ow, ow, omygod, ow ow, crap, ow.! I can't even really feel anything but i think it should be hurting. Ow!" - Georgia during her painful toe-stubbing recovery ~ "We're 21. Well, most of us are 21. Well, some of us are 21." - Robert answering our neighbour's question about our ages. ~ "This is the best night of my life!" - Allison during a moment of great euphoria ~ "Thanks man. I'll watch your back next time YOU have to piss." - Isaac thanking Brian for his services ~ "Oh...hehehe...look, the newspapers on fire. Anyway..." - Georgia nonshelantly noting our immense fire hazard ~ Georgia: "Do you smell that? Ugh, where's the pot?" Allison: "Hey...i found it!" (picks up the pot of pasta!) ~ "Brian, do i have a nice ass?" -Allison Goooodness, there are so many hilarious moments. but i'm realizing they're really not as funny written on the page...probably just had to be there. Anyway, point be told, it was a fabulous time and I'm extremely happy I went. Thanks a gazillion to all of you that entertained me...i love you to death kids! MUAH! *Molz* PS: Hayley...feel better!!!!!!!!! Current Mood: Current Music: Garbage - You Look So Fine July 26th, 2004: please call me Gigit! My physical self has just returned from a nice long bike ride along the strand...both relaxing and stimulating aux meme temps. It's damn beautiful to just watch all the cliche scenes of people playing volleyball and surfing and tanning themselves...so so SoCal. I rode all the way up past the power plant and than back down to HB pier where I ran into five gajillion people at the AVP volleybal tournament. I also saw around twelve million costa ppl which reaffirms Nick's statement regarding the smallness of this here place. TINY! In any case it was an extremely enjoyable experience and I plan on making it a daily activity...if anyone cares to join, please do so! ~ Work was as slow as a sleeping snail today although i did manage to make decent tips. It surely has not fully hit me yet that i am making my OWN moula that comes from my own efforts (or lack thereof). Kind of a cool thought. I guess i could get used to this whole "providing for yourself" thingy! ~~ I officially begin college in one month exactly. YOWSERS. Time flies like the wind (fruit flies like bananas). ~~~ YAY cant wait to go camping in two days. Cant we go for longer? One night is so smallllll. ;( Ah well...i take what i can get! ~~~~ Hayley if u happen to read this i was wondering if we could meet up at a secret location aka "drop off point" to do our "exchange of goods": the "flip flops" and "tank top"...hehe; i'd make a good drug dealer wouldn't i? See, now everyone else has no clue what those little "quoations" are for...muahahaha...i'm so powerful!! (...or just really bored). Thanks luv! A bientot mes amis! *le Mollie* Current Mood: Current Music: Garbage - Cherry Lips July 25th, 2004: an entry much overdue yikes: i most assuredly take the cake for largest amount of time since previous LJ entry...i cant believe the LJ gods are even letting me back onto their domain; i must be lucky! so even though i've seen everyone of you that is reading this many times since my last entry, and you probably already know this, my computer came down with a nasty virus and was thus in the computer hospital for a while. However, upon our lil' babes' recovery she's up n running better than ever...and with a wireless connection this time! So right now i'm sitting in bed all tucked in while i LJ away with no strings attatched...yippea! Nice deal...... ~ So there is obviously more that has happened in the last twenty-odd days than i could even dream of entering into this here entry. Instead a breif recap includes events such as a beachy and explosive July 4th; a reunion with Geo and Jes better than imagined, a hip and funky artsy farsty concert in San Pedro with Allison, Jessie, Geo, Ash and Erin; blissfully endless beach days; and a bunch of other stuff thati cant keep track of cuz it was so cool. All in all its been just a massive blast being back herrre with all o' yall and i cant think of a more fun-packed way to spend my post-senior summer. ~~ Today Jessie and i enjoyed some old fashion LA-style bonding with a trip to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science exhibit on set design in film...*thumpthump* goes the heartbeat for an AWESOME experience that knocked both of our socks off! Then we carried the excitement on over to Venice and eventually 3rd street prom. to shop shop shop SHOP SHOP SHOP...and a little shopping. The wild vixen trio (Allison, Teresa, and Steph Man) accompanied us for snacks/more shopping later in the evening. It was a great girls day/night out and i want to do it again every day of the week. Even though i know that Jes doesnt have an LJ i still would like to add that i think she is one of the coolest, spunkiest, funkiest, hilariousest and just all around fabulous friends a person could have....MUAH! ~~~ Well i have work tomorrow followed by the Arts Club evening...please stop by the Garage Studio (chez Allison) if you feel your creative juices flowing! All forms of "art" are welcome; music, writing, dancing (some skills required!), drawing, painting, play readings, etc. hehehe. Maybe we wont be THAT creative but it was a fun thought. Ciao my sweet buddies...tata! *Molzzzzzz* Current Mood: Current Music: Dispatch: Time Served July 3rd, 2004: self-diagnosis: anti-notbeing-social Woohoo: yay for beaches, cute improvers on greens stages, 43hrs of work and comedy/magic club! Do i hear a "woot! woot!" ...yes, sirreee i do! ~ First: beach...fun watching Camden and Allison learn how to surf, wishing I could do it myself but not wishing to to completely embarrass myself. Decision: maybe I'll give it a shot sometime. Also fun wearing Cam's sunglasses and playing beach volleyball (and winning; i think) despite a reincarnated and extremely painful ankle injury. (grrrrrrr!) ~~ Second: "Green screen" taping = mucho cool! I was actually in pain from laughing for four hours straight sans arretant; good pain! (no i'm not a masachist.) i have immense respect for the type of humour that requires a melange of both dry wit and deep intelligence; plus smashing good looks of my future husband "Jeff"...thud (aka: the sound of me fainting!) Allison was a supa-dupa companion even though i think she wanted to be sleeping...hhhmmmm. ~~~ Third: i'm a working MACHINE! The money's comin to MAMA this week...uh huh uh huh! I'm proud; i like earning the dough with which I will eventually burn holes in pockets...hot shizzle. ~~~~ Fourth: How fun was the Friday Comedy crew, hey? I loved that! (As did Pimp Marcus i'm sure). Great humour (more continuous laughing) in combo with great friends unquestionably leads to a great time! Wahoooooooo :) ~~~~~ New Topic: if for whatever reason you're checking ur LJ on July 4th (you LOSER) I think beachiness is happening around 11ish or so. Chipping in to bring snacks/deserts for the BBQ is much appreciated but by no means required. Uhm, that's all for now folks! See u in the sun:) *Kid-M* Current Mood: Current Music: Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved July 1st, 2004: hehehe...look steph: i figured u out!
: bitter soul and swollen toe Wow, I'm getting a lil' sick of working right now. Six days straight for 6.5 hrs min...gets old after a while; makes me realize that I should enjoy my young free life as much as possible before I'm chained to an undesired life of working...blegh. Yay for youthful energy :) ~ Lots of nice hangin around times since my famalam left me for a few days of independance (minus a car). Mini golfing was fun; notably Marcus' deathtifying backswing at innocent bystanders. Today after more work, I went to Pita Pit with Allison then off for a night of gaming. Teresa and i rocked the scrabble board (or so we keep telling ourselves.) Cranium was great: highlights include Tani's so-called "waterbed" convulsions on the floor and Nick's golfcourse made of smelly purple clay. Nice times! ~~ Afterward Allison came back chez moi to watch a girlie chick flick which was interupted by the unexpected arrival of Tate and Dan G. Tate's hilarious and tells the funniest stories, but due to the present "circumstance", the length of their stay seemed to go on forever and was rather unbearable at moments...for reasons that elude me. I don't have a clue why this after-the-fact-ness must be so f*&%ing tense, but i feel like a sack of old mud after that extended visit. Like everything a say isnt worth hearing; well sorry Mister for wasting breath. Blegh blegh blegh. Why, why...gurgle...words dont make sense sometimes...so i'll stop. ~~~ Tomorrow is a beachy day followed by an exciting evening...stay tuned for more info! MUAH to all...thanks for tuning in. *Molz* Current Mood: June 28th, 2004: and on with routine... Isn't it most interesting how we quickly slip into the patterns of every day life? Wake up, mope about, eat, get dressed, work, come home, mope about some more, eat, do something fun, go home, sleep. Again. Again. Yep, again. We become ingrained into the routines of the "everyday" that we grow to rely on various aspects of that simple pattern. It only becomes a problem when those aspects disapear....hmmmm. ~ On the lighter side, lots of movie-seeing going on lately. - Fahrenheit 9/11+ funky, funny, sad, crazy in a freakish way, endlessly interesting...aka: very good! - The Notebook= overly predictably, terribly sappy, ultra cliche, yet nonetheless: entertaining and enjoyable for the true romantic in all of us (especially the one in Marcus and Nick). - Spiderman was nice even though i was falling alseep but worth it cuz now Teresa and I are no longer the only people on the face of the planet to have not seen it! wheeeeee... ~~ TONS of work lately; six days all together by wednesday which means no life but lots of money...i can deal with that i guess. I'm a wealthy workin woman now...that's intimidating, huh? yeah...u know i am! ~~~ ciao babes...MUAH! *Molz* June 25th, 2004: blissful dullness... Sad sad sad sob story: Yesterday i went to the (f&*^ing) DMV to get my (f&%$ing) permit, which due to immense confusion regarding the type of (f$%&ing) test i had to take I (blushblush) failed. Turns out i didn't take the "oh-don't-study-its-so-easy" test that everyone else took because im 18 and us non-minors get the real deal exam. Anyway, i'm actually gonna read the book this time since i have the ability to swallow my pride and recognize that i dunno jack about driving...and cuz i didnt read it the first time. ~ So post-permit-failure i drowned my sorrows in a mumbojumbo coffee and sprinted over to MB for a hircutteroony. So here i am, the same person inside (i think) with a smashing new "do", as they say. Very short, very short indeed. A little wild, a lil' funky, a lot different and even if you hate it (ahem hayley) i'm having fun! ~~ Today i didn't do much; bought some cheap, sloppy clothes for work so that i dont drool chocolate and coffee all over my favorite jeans. Then came home and took a power nap. After that i took a stroll with the Mom around the HB Art Fair down on Pier Ave. Very arty! Fun, too :) Then Ash came over and we looked at pictures from South Africa and talked about knitting and went to Tate's and got nasty candy and moaned over Mary Kate Olsen's state of anorexia...hehe...good times! (Ash: that guy was sooo hot! Why'd she say 17, huh? some people...) ~~~ Ok so ya that's that. I work the next three days so i'm gonna rack in some big bucks (laugh laugh laugh)...but i wanna chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill so gimme a ringalingaling and we'll work it out! MUAH; b.f.w.k. *Molz* June 22nd, 2004: "ohmygod she's back again"...how old school is that? I'm baaAAck! As if you didn't already know that. So this is pretty darn cool cuz there's nothing to update that you all goofy kids don't already know. Like that I got here last thursday, saw Hayley, Erin, Johjah, and both Steph(s) that night, then went to graduation the next day, where i saw everyone and their gradnmothers (literally). I also got a job at Martha's Corner which rox cuz i get awesome blossom pay and get to drink coffee all day long. Last night hung around with Ash, Haybop, Allison, Patty and Jesse K so that was stupendous. I wanna see more o' you! ~OK well in case i'm an airhead (which I am) and I havent given u my cell numero here ya go: 909-450-7005 (Claremont area code so that i dont have to change #s when i go to Pomona). PLEASE CALL...whoever u are i want to see you...i think. ~GEORGIA and JESSIE: come back!!!! NOW!! I miss you and i just got here! ~MUAH to you all: B.F.W.K. (big fat, wet kisses) CIAO my beautities...see u sooooooooooooooooon. *Molz* June 15th, 2004: "i know that goodbyes mean nothing at all...." last time from this side. last time from this angle. next communication is FACE 2 face. WHAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO: hug hug hug. can't WAIT too see everyone. so strange; is it one year already? Nah, someone's pullin my leg. (Ouch that hurts!) Busy packing so just dropping my last line from this side....this side....this side. SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if im still alive after an 18 hr flight xxxxxxxMxxxxxx June 11th, 2004: and her days are numbered... Back from Bots/Zim...nice time! No details cuz i really cant be bothered: just imagine lots of animals and wilderness and then I promise i'll show you pictures of the African bush when i get back...which is in a few days. (!!!!) ~ Suddenly all my friends are gone and more faces to bid farewell to. Atleast i have pictures to remember everyone by! Speaking of which, new uploads onto the pic site, including some wild partying shots and a most elegant graduation...check 'em out: Grad and Party pics ~ That's all for now...miss u, i'll be back soon! *mols* |
